This is just a fancy word to tell you that the websites content can be easliy managed. Of course, all websites content is managable, however Content Managed (CMS) websites can be managed via an administration login and an admin back end where you have access to the content that can be easily updated without any coding knowledge. Joomla! is a typical CMS site. This is the type of website Cape Town Websites specialises in and it's accessible to everyone.
CMS is an abbreviation for Content Managed Sytems, it's used to explain a certain type of website where the contents can be updated via a backend login, the menu structure, template and many other aspects can usually also be updated and changed. An example of a CMS site is a website development called: Joomla! Very popluar and a very workable website solution for big and small business and even individuals. See: What is a Content Managed Website? for more info.
This is the beauty of a CMS website, you can update and you can add menu items, change templates and much more with no coding experience.
This is a mouthful of a term but its also a huge aspect of website design and development and should carry on throughout the entire life of the website. Commonly known as SEO, it's a task done on a website and other off site actions (like blogs, twitter, facebook etc) to give the website a higher ranking on the search engines, especially the three largest SE's, viz Google, Yahoo & Bing. The SE's have certain rules and regulations which they apply to websites, and those who comply to these get a higher ranking and are moved to the top of various keyword listings or appear near the top and are thus seen by search users and the website receives more traffic.
This is a term when used in relation to a website that is used to trade for example like amazon.com. Purchases are made online for various tangible & none tangible products & services, usually paid by an online payment gateway such as paypal.

Joomla! is an open source content managed system foundation for websites allowing many non technical users to access the internet at levels not previously experienced before CMS websites were created by means of an administrator access either via a login from the front end or the backend where contents, structure & templates, add-ons such as imaged galleries, e commerce, event calendar and many more can be easily set up and edited.
The terms SEO, (Search Engine Optimization) is explained under the Question above: Search Engine Optimization
A website that is SEO friendly is when the site conforms to the various SE's (Search Engine) requirements, note that the search engines do not always work the same thus to optimize for Google is not optimized for Yahoo, although Yahoo for example, would prefer a Google optimized site than not optimized at all. Some websites, like a static HTML site is more SEO friendly than a dynamic website built from a database every time a page is loaded, although there are some solutions to this, but the simpler the site, the quicker to load, the more original the content ... the happier the search engines are and will favour your website over others. Remember graphics may keep your clients coming back because of visual appeal but does not favour search engines, its slow to load and SE's cannot read or see graphics. Thus there must be a balance between a fast loading SE happy site and the human element of visual appeal. A good designer must have SEO knowledge to understand that 'less is best'.
